- Cachexia, or wasting syndrome (severe weight loss caused by a medical condition or its treatment)
- Cancer
- Glaucoma
- HIV or AIDS
- Persistent muscle spasms
- Seizures
- Severe nausea
- Severe pain
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
How to Get Your Card
The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment has released a 4-step process to obtaining your card, and you can find the full instructions here. The steps are as follows:
- See your healthcare provider
- Complete your application online
- Wait for application review
- Print or display your card
Restrictions
The only restrictions on obtaining a medical card are that you must be 18 years or older and a Colorado resident. The application requires a valid driver’s license or ID, as well as a valid social security number.
